Under contract to Amtrak, John worked as the PSCC Development Manager responsible for all phases of project management for completion and continuing enhancement of PSCC Train Control System for Penn Station, New York, providing advanced train traffic control for busiest train station in United States. Development done on HP Nonstop / Guardian, Sun / Solaris and Windows NT platforms in C, C++, Java and TAL.

Under contract to QEI, a leading provider of electric, gas, and water monitoring and control systems, John designed and developed the train tracking subsystem for the Chicago Transit Authority’s train traffic control system. Also held responsibility for development of next-generation SCADA power control system, utilizing Java on a variety of platforms and unique in the industry for its use of object-oriented technology. Activities included project planning and monitoring as well as subsystem design and development.
